I just read in the local paper that Sven Died a few days ago.

Sven was a great person. My prayers go out to his family and friends

Sorry to hear about Sven! We use to be on the same duckpin team many years ago @ the Fairlanes in Marlow Hgts. That was a really COOL time as there were so many Class of '70, '71, & '72 Cavaliers in that league & at least on those Saturday mornings those upperclassmen actually treated me like a human being & not some stupid 9th or 10th grader! Sven was a Great duckpin bowler too. I didn't socialize w/ his circle of friends outside of those Saturday mornings & that's sad in a way? I had many activities I was involved in just as today & some people act outside of that activity like they don't know you sometimes. I mean I bet there weren't 3 others @ CHS(Class of '73) that even knew I was 2 merit badges away from making Eagle Scout when I quit the BSA. I belonged to a troop on Andrews AFB(#1275) & I took it real hard when my "2nd Father"/Scout Master was listed as an MIA in Vietnam in 1971. He's still listed that way to this day. He was a FAC(Foward Air Controller) flying the "Widowmaker" OV-10 Bronco & was shot down over Laos. He really was like my 2nd Father as he happened to be a long time friend of my Dad's as their Air Force careers kept us being stationed together 4 times over my Dad's 26 yrs even though my Dad was in Hosp Admin & my Scout Master was a pilot. Well enough of the ramblings of an almost retired ole fool(Nov 1st, 2010>>>less than 1 yr to go! Thank God!!! Maybe in my next career I'll find something closer to home in Calvert Cty, MD rather than Vienna, VA, that I like doing rather than working 30 yrs(a lifetime) doing something you really hated, but it paid the bills? Oh well, Sven God love ya Man RIP!!!

I remember Sven too. I wasn't a friend of his, but was aware of him of course. He was a good looking kid but came across as being pretty quiet, or maybe that was because I didn't know him very well. Seems to me he was a "block", no? Anyway, do we know what he died from? Thanks for posting this notice Mark. What paper was the obituary in? KathyMac

Its always sad when we lost a classmate, I was in several classes with Sven and enjoyed the time with him. RIP our friend, until we meet on the other side.

Does anyone have any information about what happen to him and where he is at?
