SNOW

Date: February 06, 2010 06:14PM Wow,I haven't seen this much snow since that big now we had in 68' I think that was the year, maybe it was 66. My cousin, my sister and I walked to King's 5 & 10. I lived in Suitland then. My sister was about 5 and we kept losing her in the snow drifts.
I actually got on my tread mill today. Too bad it takes three feet of snow for me to get walking!! Probably didn't offset the food I ate. Keep warm everyone and enjoy the big game today. Sandy Re: SNOW

Date: February 07, 2010 12:43PM I remember that snow storm! I'm a little fuzzy on the exact year as well. I do remember that the drifts were so high that Val Lamont and I could actually walk up a snow bank onto the roof of Middleton Valley Elementary School. The snow acted just like a ramp. Before they cleared Alcon Drive I remember attempting to get from my house to Val's house which was 3 houses distance. The snow was so deep and I was so short that a neighbor had to come to my rescue when I couldn't pick up my feet to take another step. Big arms came swooping down to pluck me right out of the snow.....leaving one snow boot behind in the white stuff! Does anybody remember how long we were out of school during that storm? I'm sure at the time I thought it wasn't nearly as long as it should have been. Sandy, thanks for starting a new thread. Now come on everybody.....add your memories of past snowstorms. Date: April 14, 2010 02:55PM Well a little late but I had to work 12 hours a day from Jan 30 to Feb 17 because of the snow at Prince George's County Public Works. It was a rough operation working 1 PM to 1 AM. Lost 10 pounds, people getting on each other. Re: SNOW
